In partnership with Sefton Council, Sefton Padel is an upcoming padel club opening in 2026, offering state-of-the-art facilities across three locations: Crosby, Formby, and Birkdale. Padel is a fast-growing racquet sport combining elements of tennis and squash, perfect for all ages and skill levels.
The game is played in doubles therefore 4 players are required to make a game.
Sefton Padel are a new independent business founded locally and based in Sefton.
We will be working closely with the local community to ensure all parts of it can enjoy our service.
We will be reaching out to local schools to offer free introductory classes and provide coaching camps for children during the school holidays.
We will ensure all our courts are in a clean well-maintained state. All sites will be fully secure gated with door entry code systems and CCTV.
We will work with local tradesmen and suppliers.
We’re planning to launch in 2026. Exact dates will be shared with our waiting list members first—join now to stay updated! Each site will be subject to applying for planning permission therefore we are unable to provide exact dates just yet.

Memberships are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Joining the waiting list does not commit you to proceed with a membership application. It simply allows us to keep you in the loop and you’re able to opt out of our mailing communication updates at any time. We will not share your data with any third parties and your information will be stored on our secure servers and only accessible to authorised personnel in the operation of Sefton Padel. Yes, however there may be opportunities to book courts as a non-member in future. Members will receive priority advanced booking windows and discounted rates.
We’ll release further details of our WhatsApp community group for members soon. There will be sub groups within the community group for all ability levels allowing members to request games with other members. Members will also be able to engage with fellow club members via the Playtomic app.
No, there just needs to be one member to book a court for our advanced booking window period. Guests of members will be able to play a limited number of times, further details will be announced.
Pricing details are still being finalised. We’re focused on providing an affordable inclusive padel offering on top quality courts.
We’re exploring various membership types, including options for children, groups and families. Join the waiting list to be the first to hear about our plans.
Expect top-quality covered and uncovered outdoor padel courts, equipment rentals, and additional amenities—full details will be revealed closer to launch.
As part of our partnership with Sefton Council we will also be refurbishing the remaining x3 tennis courts on each site which will continue to be free to play for members of the public.
No! Padel is easy to learn and fun for beginners and pros alike. We’ll offer introductory sessions and coaching at our clubs. Please see the video below for a quick tutorial on how to play Padel.
Not yet—court bookings will start once we’re closer to opening. Waiting list members will get priority access to reserve courts via our booking platform software.
Bookings will be able to be made via the Playtomic app. Please search for Playtomic in your mobile phone’s appstore and keep an eye out for when our locations are uploaded
